Our Approach
We support young children who have experienced trauma, particularly in the context of caregiving, through highly nurturing, family-style homes registered with Ofsted. Each home accommodates up to two children, creating a stable, intimate environment for healing and growth.
Our aim is to deliver the Glow therapeutic re-parenting model to ensure that young children with very complex needs are provided with a specialist assessment, followed by a comprehensive intervention framework and transition plan which will provide future stability and reduce placement breakdowns.
Rooted in the values of Growth, Love, Opportunity, and Wellbeing, designed to transition children into long-term family homes.
Our aim is to support children through a recovery process (typically of up to 1 year, but depends on the child’s needs), helping them develop the emotional resilience and relational trust necessary for successful family life. Glow’s ultimate goal is to support children in effective engagement in the world, in a manner that is empowered and future-oriented , rather than focused on survival.
Children’s progress is closely monitored through regular consultations with a clinical team and reflective practice is embedded into our daily routines.
Our multi-disciplinary in-house team includes professionals with deep expertise across social care, education, and mental health:
- A social worker experienced in child protection, fostering, and residential care
- A Mental Health and Autism Specialist Social Worker
- A Head Teacher focused on trauma-informed education
