Education
Glow Re-Parenting Pathway Model focusses on the support required to enable a child to manage not just in a family setting but an educational setting too, building skills and giving a child the opportunity to develop their strengths and reach their potential. Our pathway includes working closely with education teams whether this is mainstream school, special schools or alternative provision.
We place great value on stability in education and, wherever possible, ensure children remain in their current school to maintain consistency in their learning and friendships. If a child is unable to attend their school or does not currently have a placement, our Head of Education works alongside social workers and the local education team to make sure an appropriate school or alternative provision is arranged quickly.
We have a partnership with local Alternative Providers locally to ensure that children without a full time school placement continue to be provided with education.
Our Head of Education, together with Glow’s Therapeutic Parents, takes part in all relevant school or educational meetings, keeping families involved and fully informed of each child’s progress.
We actively encourage children to take part in learning opportunities and social activities that help them grow in confidence, skills, and enjoyment.
